I want to macro while viewing somewhere else on the map! I don't want to have to go back to my base to queue up new units.Armada 2 resurrects the classic Star Trek RTS games that were released between 19, but advances the series with new features, such as a space map of the entire galaxy, enhanced graphics, and amazing sound Star But it's just infuriating that Armada 2 works this way. It's not so bad since you can queue up starships without having them consume resources until they are ready to be built (unlike starcraft). Thus forcing you to move the camera back to home base in order to continue macroing up. Instead, Armada 2 will allow you to bind a shipyard for example but once it produces any sort of ships, it will auto-rebind the hotkey to that fleet. But for whatever reason, in Armada 2 they changed it. This allows you to continue macroing (building units) no matter where your camera is on the map. In Armada 1 (and every other RTS game ever invented), if you bind a building to a hotkey that building will always be bound to the hotkey. I have one massive complaint though about Armada 2 that confuses me so much on why it even exists and I don't have anywhere to talk about it except here, so here goes. I actually just bought these and played through the Armada 1 campaign again and am starting Armada 2.
